THE SUN (London, UK) 20 February 06 Luncheon is being surfed
Photo: Quick snack ... crocodile snaps up turtle (Aaron Vickers)
What a croc-ky horror show as an unsuspecting turtle is snapped up in the jaws of a monster crocodile.
The sea turtle was inching its way up a beach when the 17ft saltwater beast struck at Cape York in Queensland, Australia.
Turtles are common prey for the crocodiles who crack their shells in half with their powerful jaws and razor-sharp teeth.
Fast food isn’t normally on the croc’s menu — but this tasty turtle took just moments to gobble down.
It just goes to prove that sometimes life’s a beach.
