First ever, successful captive breeding of V. reisingeri

Jon43 Feb 20, 2006 10:28 PM

On February 20, 2006 I discovered 5 good eggs in one of my V. reisingeri cages. I could hardly contain my excitement and emotions. My other female looks as though she is getting ready to lay her first clutch also.

Thanks JPshadow,

I realize I have an uphill climb, but things are definately looking up. Still it is a big accomplishment to be the first to get eggs and one I will remember for the rest of my life.

sincerely,

Jon

I didn't mean it to sound like I was down playing the accomplishment at all.

It is a very big step, and lets you know your heading in the right direction. My fingers are crossed the eggs will hatch. It would be awesome to see them being captive produced.
