so i'm in the market for my first boa

my budget will only allow a "common boa" so is there anything in particular i should look for. i want to get a female and i want to breed her down the road.

I would go for a pastel. You can find them for about the price of a normal. If you check out page 2 on this forum there is a discussion on pastels and HOGNOSE has a picture of a nice pastel he/she was trying to sell for like $125-$150. I would look for a clean snake with solid sattles and a nice red tail. If you have a a little more money you can find pretty nice hypos aka salmons for like $300. They also go up to around $2500 but I have also seen them as low as $250. Just take your time and buy a female that looks pretty to you. Good luck and post keep us posted.
