I remember someone talking about using 1" cut squares of foam in a lay box for the female to bury in and lay her eggs. He also showed a pic of this. He also said he used aquarium filter medium to incubate the eggs in with a pic. The filter stuff would support the eggs away from water in the bottom without absorbing the water. Hope this helps.

You can hatch colubrid eggs on,
Sand
Papertowels
Vermiculite
Perilite
Moss, of many types
mulch
nothing(on shelf or hung in the air with some sort of net)
wood shavings
dirt
pecan and walnut chips
coconut fibers
foam?

I actually think there should be a contest to find the most unusal medium. Like ground up used tires. Or hair from the barbershop floor. Or in the middle of a king cake. Or my personal favorite, on a bicycle seat. Cheers
