trevorbennett Jul 27, 2003 04:19 AM

have any of you purchased from him???? were you satisfied with what you bought??? i am looking at one of his sandfire x gold adult males.the dragon is 2 years old and 16 inches long(nothing missing). is this a good sized dragon or is that average??? according to care sheets they can get up to 24in. but i've only seen giants get that big. not regular ones.

do you sandfirexgolds have nicely colored babies? or average???
thanx for the help!

I have never purchased anything from him but, I have 3 males that aren't german giants And they are all close in lenght. (1) is 20 from head to tail(nothing missing) (2) is 19 from head to tail with a slight(1/4"tail nip. (3) is 22 from head to tail (nothing missing). Just a little help for you. I woudl say that mayeb his dragons are smaller. Not all males will have that big diamond head liek most of us like. usually breeders don't liek to breed these small males because they produce samll dragons, but they still make great pets. the dragon i have that is 20 is a small head dragon but his father has a huge diamond head and he has some awsome color(yellow/orange X hypo for snow). Hope this helps you out.

Most of my close to adult dragons including females are 18 plus inches. Hope that helps.

I've never purchased a beardie from him, but proabably will in the future. We've purchased a number of crested geckos from him, and they are always what they are represented to be. He's an honest businessman, and we've had nothing but good business with him.

I have one of his cresties. It is a healthy and beautiful pinstriped female. He spends loads of time and money on his herps. That is always a good thing. He has been very personable on every occasion that I have spoken with him. I would definitely recommend him as a good source of captive bred herps.

Never bought from him, but have heard good things. My adult male is small at 16 inches...but he might not be done growing yet since he's only about 14 months old.

Is this what you call tact?
I swear you're as subtle as a brick in the small of my back.

well, most of my adult dragons are between 20-24 inches ...I'd say that's the smallest german giant i've ever heard of...
None of my dragons have giant blood in them ..

Makes one wonder how they get the name 'german giant'...

I have purchased thousands of dollars worth of animals from garrick. He has high quality animals and he runs his business with high integrity.

Glad you bought from him. He is a good guy and has good dragons. I have bought a few from him in the past and never been unhappy with any of them. Can't help you with the 20" dragon... just sold my largest female last week.

Garrick is cool as hell, and his dragons, all of them, are healthy. He breeds something like 50,000 baby dragons a year, and spends $450.00 on JUST 1/4" crix per week. d8^O

Anyway, that's besides the point. Garrick is well known in the tradeshow scene, and I actually met him this weekend at SewerFest in Racine, Wisconsin. He brought along a selection of dragons ranging from 3 weeks old to 4 months old, and let me just say, every one of them was beautiful. He really knows his stuff too... he's got the answers for everything.
