Anti-biotics

ChameleonV123 Feb 21, 2006 06:35 PM

I have noticed a slight yellow lining around my chams gum line. I don't want to be paranoid, and send him straight to the vet. Should I just clean his teeth with a wet cutip, and what are some, if any, typical antibiotics? I still have some baytril leftover, but after reading the effects, are reluctent to use. Any suggestions?

You can use a moistened q-tip and clean the gums and teeth. We use a diluted form of Nolvasan - or a generic form. We dilute 50%.

Some chams naturally have a yellowish tint to their gums - so if it is all around in the mouth - it might just be the way it is.

I agree. If the coloration is uniform all around the mouth and there are no swollen, reddish areas or clumps of cheesy stuff anywhere it may be normal coloration for this cham.
