Where was that snake found??
I actually don't recall. This was about 2 years ago, I lost touch with the person.
What criteria do you use to label it an intergrade? The yellow tail? The locale? All the above??
It was found in an intergrade zone.
I spent some time breeding southerns and seldom got over 14".
Off hand, what is the record northern Mike?
28". I've had 3 or 4 northerns close to that.
Have you kept any ssp. from egg to egg? Which seem easiest to you?
Never produced any F2s, didn't really have the time and motivation for that. But to me the southerns are easier to keep and breed than the northerns, due to the fact the northerns like salamanders too much, and most southerns will go right after fish or worms.
