Here's my W.C. female suri.I've had her 4 yrs now and was thinking about breeding her this season. However in her 2nd month of cooling (November) I noticed a small patch of scale rot and the very tip of her tail started looking like necrotic tail tip.So I raised the temps and put Neosporin on the area and it healed.I keep her cage emaculately clean. So I think it is bacterial.I have read as much literature on the subject, however they don't specify what type of bacteria and permanent cure. What else can I do to prevent future outbreaks?

Here she is

do you feed live rats?, maybe they were wounds.i feel it is just better to be safe than sorry, and always feed dead or stunned rats from forceps. j yocum
