If there is a male in the cage this could be a sign that she is about to lay eggs. You should put a box with moist vermiculite or spagnum moss so that she can lay her eggs. Also now would be a good time to set up an incubator. If no male, i dont know- the only time mine did that was before she lays eggs.

Good luck

your girl looks nice and healthy and could possible have eggs in her. i have had my leos and fat tails dig for no reason but most of the time it is when they are ready to lay eggs. as you have probably heard you probably shouldnt house her on sand because it is dangerous

Their is no male at all. When i adopted her she came with a cage inc. sand, in which i mixed with other bedding i cant remember what its called ,it comes in a brick form and add water to it and it grows.I'll change out her cage later and see if thats works.

hmm well maybe she just wants to dig. the substrate could also be to dry for her so she is trying to find a moist area. the subsrate could be to cold/hot so she is trying to get to a heat that she likes. or she could just be digging in the corner thinking she is going to get somewhere. i had a male that would dig everywhere, i think he was just bored.

Like chickens, geckos can lay eggs without a male. They will be unfertile but you should give her a place to lay anyway. If you make a moist hide out of an old butter bowl or tupperware container and fill it halfway with the coconut bedding that comes in the brick she will lay in there. Also keep it moist (not wet) and it is a good moist hide for help in shedding too.
