Does this mean that he has no problem eating?

anafranil Feb 22, 2006 09:42 AM

I have had problems with my veiled for a month or more now,you will possibly have seen a few posts of mine regarding this at the past. The problem is that he became a very picky eater and I am forced to observe him frequently to see if he picked a cricket or a worm through the day. Some days I find out that he picked something some others I suppose that he didn't and I'm worried that he's growth may be slowed down.He is about a foot long, doesn't look skiny and he behaves naturally...
On the other hand I find feces on a regular basis, should this perhaps make me stop worry?

I haven't followed all your posts, but if he is pooping and it looks good (urates hite, not orange & firm part dark and not too runny - their poop can often look a bit drippy depending on what he is eating).

Are you free ranging the feeders or cup feeding? There may be some lose in his cage that you are not aware of and he is finding them. Just to be safe you can put some gutload (veggies and dry) for any wanderers to feed on to keep them well gutloaded and so they donlt nibble on your cham at night.

Can you post a pic of your cham?

What feeders are you using? There is plenty to offer to stubborn eaters.

good luck.
