cage question

nvherp Feb 22, 2006 04:23 PM

is 96 long 24 deep 17.5 high big enough for a retic? Im looking at the cage on monstercages.com and am curious if that is adequate enough or if anyone has a better suggestion on buying a cage.

Yes, that is more than adequate for an adult retic. I reccomend Animal Plastics cages over the monster cages, but they are both great cages. I keep my retics in AP cages cause they hold heat/humidity VERY well, and they can come with sliding glass doors, which is better for keeping big retics. I use the T25 models with sliding glass, bellyheat, and lock. But, if you want bigger, AP cages come in 7 and 8-foot models too. One of the 8-foot models is also 36" deep if your looking for a BIG cage. Most of the big breeders keep males and females in cages equivilant in size to a six-foot T25 model. I just ordered two more T25 cages and I couldn't be happier with them. Oh and the material is 1/2 thick--thicker than the monster cages. Nothing against the boaphiles, but for retics, AP all the way. Here is their website. www.animalplastics.com
