new rack I just built....

Nokturnel Tom Feb 22, 2006 08:36 PM

Since I may be moving I decided to wait as far as pursuing the dream room I want with lots of large cages. It would be a major hassle to move everything so for the meantime I threw this together. That is a 45 gallon aquarium beneath those shelves...those sterilites are over 70 quart size. I am most likely going to put a bunch of female Brooksi in those. The rack....is nothin fancy but it will help me get through this hopefully productive year....but these containers are not always available and I thought some of you guys would like to know you can soemtimes find them at Target. Thanks bro, I actualy had all the wood just sittin in my garage....so it cost next to nothing to make. I just drilled a few and put some snakes in them and those snakes are exploring like crazy. They have plenty of room to stretch out, so I am satisified for sure. Tom Stevens

-The fearless "Bud Light" stunt man! Nice hide-box in the bottom tank!
But anyway, good lookin' rack with nice roomy containers! I have a similar one which allows me to keep my 5.5 foot and 6 foot kings in!

LOL It has been said that being in my snake room sometimes reminds people of being at the supermarket. I had a nice stockpile of boxes in my garage and now that my animals are up...I can finally put them to use. I like cardboard hides...because as soon as they get dirty I just throw em away....I have enough things to wash already. Tom Stevens
believe it or not theres a 6 foot Pine in that Bud Light box!

Horridus Feb 23, 2006 11:37 AM

Tom,

Well, that explains it...I'm going to have to start looking in all the empty 12pk boxes at the spots I hit....that must be where all the pines I can never seem to find are.

WOW! That's cool! I'm a big Pitouphis fan myself, except I can't keep any in NC. so I'm stuck with my lousy, now two year old, 6.25' Eastern Indigo as a second choice . . .LOL, ok I'm just kidding (about the lousy Indigo part). I love my Indigo - he kicks Butt!!!
But Big Eastern Kings still Rule!!!
What type of pine/s do you have? Thanks!

I have 1.1 Southerns. Patternless het Amels. I produced blotched, amel bltoched, patternless and amel patternless from them and they're awesome pets. I also have Sonoran Gopher morphs, San Diego Gopher morphs and a pair of Bulls..the father was an Ivory from the European line. Pits are great snakes, but I just do not have the room to have as many as I'd like. So I make up for it by having tons of Kings lol Tom Stevens

Yeah, there is a very larghe male and a 4 1/2-5' female hanging out at the study site so they are still sticking around. Saw them in Oct., Nov., and Jan. Saw a dor baby crote this morning and a glass lizard and baby ribbon yesterday so things are starting to pop up. Hurry up May!!!! Maybe comin' your way to visit my daughter in D.C. so I may be up for the eastern challenge. When will things start to pop in your neck of the woods?
