Beginner Amphibian Keeper

Hi, I am just delving into frogs and toads. I own 9 different reptile species, which are all being moved onto a large display rack on my wall. I'll have room for one ten gallon tank, and I'm debating between a crocodile skink or a pair of firebelly toads. I'd like to know what would be the best setup for the toads. I'm thinking of doing a 50/50 of land and water(A bed-a-beast and sphagnum substrate and gravel slope and bottom in the water). I don't know what kind of heating, plants, and filter I'd need. Any suggestions are welcome.

i would definatly go with the fire bellies if you allready own reptiles, that is a good idea, but make sure you don't use dirt, otherwise it will make the water really dirty, even if you have a good filter, i think it is easier to use a large water dish. you will need: a lid-like 10$, plants (any plants will do, pothos and potatoe vine are easy, snake and spider plants, and ferns, broms...) they like to climb and make sure you have lots of hiding spots, they also like to borrow under the plants and stuff, here is a pic of my FBT tank (i redid it so you can't see the white and put more plants in) and my american toad tank, they style of the american toad tank would be easier maintnence, however, both would work. if you want to do 50/50, then get a glass divider and use aquarium sealent to attach it,let it seal until it doesn't smell, good luck!!!!!!!!!ps, there is also a water dragon tank, that style would work too, there is only moss in it, no dirt.
