How many layers of tile are you using above the UTH? And how hot can i let it get?
Can i use just one layer and regulate the temp using the rheostat?
Thanks

I have one like 2 1/2 layers. I have a light layer of sand on the very bottome, so that they tiles will settle in the tank and not move then I have some 2x2 inch tiles that are stuck together by an adhesive that allows space inbetween (for grout) but I use sand as grout then on one side where his humid hide is I use on more tile to raise it up some. Right now I am not useing the UTh because it is so how in central cali that when I do it puts the temps in the cage to high so I use an over head red light, if I just use the UTH and no light the temp doesnt get up high enough. I would recomend on the warm side just to use one and mess with the rehostat to get the right temp. Just put the back of your hand on the tile after a few hours if you can feel a little of heat you should be ok, just remember dont get it to warm.
