Is it ok to feed your crickets fish flakes?? Does it have any health problems on my lizards, cause I assume they are good to feed??? The crickets love fish flakes they go crazy and eat it supper fast when I put it in.

I don't know about health problems from fish food, but I think you should just feed your crickets the same lettuce you feed your dragon, if you are worried about it rotting before they eat it, just put small amounts in at a time. They will eat it just as fast as the fish food. I don't know if fish food causes problem but i do know that lettuce is better, and healthier.

Fish flakes are one of the best things to gutload crickets. Just give them apples, carrots, cactus, etc, for moisture, and you will have super crickets. You will notice that your animals will be more active after eating them. Josh

They are high in protien. And when You feed your dragons insects that have been feed a diet rich in protien, you get great growth rates out of the dragons. ( as long as all their other requirements are met)

What kind of fish flakes? Do you mean like the kind you feed goldfish?

Kool, thanks for the reply all. Yeah I do add all the good moisture foods too, but i'm pretty limited in the dry foods. I only use bran, monkey chow and fish flakes. I use more fish flakes than anything cause the crickets just love it. I guess I'm not sure what other dry foods there is. Oh yes it's just ordianry tropical fish food by Hagen.
