I'm sad. I'm still on a quest for pinkies, and went to Petco today at lunch. They only had frozen. I took a look in the reptile section. In the baby leopard gecko tank was a little one who was shedding-he got the skin off his head and the rest of his skin was just real loose...like he was wearing a jacket. He looked pathetic just sitting there, helpless. Then I saw next to him was the body of probably his brother, almost a skeleton. Yuck. I was SO close to bringing the little jacket one home! Should I go back and get him? I probably should't get ANYTHING out of that tank, right? On that note, does anybody know a good place I can order pinkies online? Thanks.

Hi, I can't help you in your quest for pinkies but I do have some advice about the dead gecko situation. I ran into a similar problem with a pet store with a bearded dragon,,, terrible shed, and just skin and bones. My son and I kept going back to check on him and left in tears every time. I emailed the beardie forum and the advice I got from them is NOT to rescue it. It will only perpetuate the store selling sick animals. I made some recommendations to the store on the proper care (which they ignored) and I eventually called the humane society to report them. It was my best option. If you buy it the store only sees this as a sale. If they are not properly taking care of the reptiles but people will still buy them then why should they change right? It was so hard for me to just leave that poor thing at the store but I did not want to give the store the message that they could treat the animals like that and people will buy them anyways. I hope this helps you a little, it's such a hard situation to be in. Lo

Just a quick note. I dont mind sending you some pinkies. I have way to manny anyway and end up freesing a lot of them. Curently I have enough frozen to feed my snakes for the next month and just had another litter last night. I am not sure how they could be sent but when I find out I will let ya know. All I would requier is you pay for the shipping.

I'm gonna try a couple more places in the morning, the story I've been getting is that the stores aren't carrying them because of some kind of animal cruelty issue...
