"Arctic" ball just shed pic, alot of people say they have snakes like this but no pics!

garycrain Feb 23, 2006 07:11 PM

So, you say you have one and its not genetic, then show me yours. Ive showed you mine!

Granted this snake didnt come into the country like this, the story behind it is anything but complete. I didnt pay hardly anything for it.

Is this like the Calico Retic
Is this the because of a dirty cage and dead skin.
Something makes this snake look like this.

So do you have one.........

LET ME SEE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you dont and have an opinion then let me hear it!

Looks like an Ugly @$$ Fire, or just a "dirty" looking normal. I like it though!

SirMorphsAlot Feb 23, 2006 07:24 PM

I bet it had a nasty shed and alot of Poop?? Before it changed.

garycrain Feb 23, 2006 07:30 PM

I dont know, it looked like this when I got it. Its first crap had worms in it but very solid. It has shed once since I had it and looked just like it does now.

Why do you say that about the Poop?

SirMorphsAlot Feb 23, 2006 08:53 PM

I have seen the Change before, First hand.. Some like to call them $hitter snakes LOL!

Eleven has been and will be waiting,
Defending his light,
And wondering...
Where the hell have I been?
Sleeping, lost, and numb.
So glad that I have found you.
I am wide awake and heading home.

Sorry I can't come up with smart ass comment - very unlike me. Anyway - seems like I've seen one like that I think they called it a sandblasted ball or something to that effect, might have been a little different. Its nice - whatever it turns out to be - hope it's genetic!

I've posted her on here before...
She started out like her brother in the pic, shed one day and...presto change-o! Out of a clutch of 5,she was the only one to change! NO CLUE!?

morphed Feb 24, 2006 08:45 AM

I have posted her before, ut here she is again. She was a CB baby last year from a lemon pastel father and a nice looking normal mother. All her sibs were cared for the same in the same rack with the same heat feed the same, blah blah. She never had worms or any parasites. Then one day 6 months after hatching she started to look real dark then she shed into this.. The father has a really cool head pattern, who knows ill breed her back to her father next season. She changed about 4 months ago and has been this way since ..

i love it! keep us posted..i have a girl that has a simular story lol... she has that inconsistant color and a little suprise ill show up with later lol (every collection needs a secret).... She was bought as a normal and had that graziani looking pattern..well long story short she darkened around shed at about 4-6 months of age..and it looked sooooooo cool..then i was watchin her shed and WHOAAA!!! When the skin came off i couldnt believe it her head looked almost ghost/hypo and her lower body looked pastel/vanilla ...very cool girl...and she has a small ringer like pattern near the base of her tail. I can't wait to see what happens with her

RandyRemington Feb 25, 2006 08:38 AM

Here is one I bought as a reported import so no history as to if it was a changer. Here is what she looked like when I got her.

RandyRemington Feb 25, 2006 08:40 AM

And here is what she looked like a few months and a lot of growth later. I haven't seen her in a couple years (breeding loan) but am told she hasn't changed more.
