Yipee, I just found out my female leo was 50 grams is that enough to introduce her to a mature male? Can I give her a pinky mouse by now? Because I want to get them fat before. She's probaly just above 7 inches and hes probably 8 inches. YIPEE!!!

You might want to take age into account. Some people go by 50g but if shes not done growing then you dont want to breed her yet.

Do you plan to keep the babies or sell them, and to who? Also females are known to store sperm so if you do breed them you need to be ready for a full season of eggs and all the babies, not just a few.

You won't be able to house them together due to the size differences, so you'll need at least 8 new cages. Plus all the hides and water dishes and food and heat, well you get the idea. Also don't forget babies eat lots of small food items everyday, so you'll need at least a few hundred crickets a week, plus the stuff to gutload them.

Bottom line...make sure you know what you are going to do with the little ones, and exactly what you are getting yourself into.

Very true garweft, many people don't stop to think about how much money hatching babies can cost, it's not cheap for sure.

And like sardoniccheese asked, just how old is this female? I have females well over 70 grams but one is only 6 months old the other 8 months old and I won't even consider breeding them just yet. If your female is under a year old and only 50 grams I would strongly suggest you do not breed her yet. Even if she is a year old I would still try to put more weight on her, the more the better and the less chance of the female having health issues.
