Lil white ones born last night

mdc Feb 24, 2006 10:42 AM

My pastel het albino had a small litter last night. Not as many as I was expecting, but a good litter none the less for this small first time mom. She was bred by my insane albino het stripe.

There are definately some pastel albinos in this litter. The three in the upper right of the pic have an overall red wash to them. Look at the difference between them and the other albinos. They are already sooo red, I can't wait to see them once they shed and feed a couple times. Sorry for the bad pics, I snapped them really quick this morning on the way out the door.

What's your total head count with the breakdown of albinos, hets, slugs, etc.?

mdc Feb 24, 2006 01:43 PM

I'm not sure yet. I had to run out to work. It makes it so hard to sit at work when there are new babies at home. I think there are 11 albinos (2 premies though), may guess is about 8 hets, and there were three pills. I'll get a real head count this weekend.

Thanks,
Matt

Thanks Joe. Now that that waiting game is over, I can't wait till they shed to see what they really look like. Ahhh, it never ends. Anyhow, I'm thrilled with the outcome even though it was a small litter. I've been looking forward to this pairing for a long time.

Yeah, it's a pretty good litter. She was just soooo full looking, I thought there were more in her. All the babies other than the two premies were big babies with no yolk left in their bellies which I guess is pretty good for albinos.

It might be a small litter but the babies look nice, big, and healthy! Congrats on the new ones!

Thanks,

Congrats Matt. That one in the front could pass for a Sunglow from here. Good luck with them.
