that tegu for sale is a colombian tegu and sometimes the colombian and gold tegus can calm down but it is pretty rare for that to happen

what is the average price for a baby argentine black and white tegu?
if i get a baby i should be able to tame it so i can handle it in the future without gloves and no fear of being bitten right?
also, what kind of damage can they do when they bite

the average price for an argentinan is about 100-125 dollars if you are gonna buy one you should definetly check out these two sites agamainternational.com and bluetegu.com . they both offer lots of information and great quality tegus. As far as tameness goes i hold my tegu without gloves and sometimes he scratches me just because his claws are long. he can tolerate about 15 minutes of being held and then he wants down. AS far as the damgage a bite would do i am not sure because he has never bit me. if you can i definetly reccomend housing yours outside because they love it, its cheaper and ever since i put mine outside he has been much more tame. the babies are much harder to handle but as they get older they don't mind it as much

one way that i found is good to tame them and keep them from attempting to bite you when you stick your hand in the cage is to never hand feed them and also to feed them with a bowl. by doing this after a while they will reconize the bowl as food and not your hand coming in to pick him up.
