Do the eggs need to be in a SEALED container?

rfarris Feb 25, 2006 08:36 AM

I imagine they would. Wouldn't it keep humidity in better? Does it matter?

Thanks.

Eggs need to get air. Some people use sealed containers and open them daily, every other day, etc. Others use boxes with vent holes drilled in them.

It depends on your incubator, If you have one with a fan in it moving the air around, you will probably need a sealed container otherwise it will dry out too quickly. Otherwise if you have a still air incubator, it's best to drill a couple of small holes for air exchange.
