After purchasing these guys in Daytona they finally arrived yesterday. CITES can take forever!

For those of you that know me, you know I am always in search of the most radical example of morphs and I think these two fit the bill...especially the Clown!

I'd like to thank Brian and Lori of BHB Enterprises for such outstanding animals. You've far exceeded my wildest expectaions!

Thanks for looking!

Was the Cites required because you were taking them to Canada. Is Cites paperwork required for everything going in and out of Canada? If so, doesn't that make it difficult to do business from Canada.
Thanks Mike

Hi Mike,

CITES is required when ball pythons enter of leave any country. Lately, when it comes to my orders, it has been taking up to 6 months for CITES paperwork to be obtained in the US. Whereas in Canada I can get CITES and ship within days. You guys just have an extra 100 years of beurocracy than we do. LOL!

Do you come to the U.S. for shows? Can you take your own animals back?
Thanks Mike

Markus Jayne Feb 25, 2006 10:20 AM

I only visit US shows. I wish I could sell there but I would have to re-apply for CITES in the US to get my animals back. Too much hassle and WAIT!

Mark,

You would be able to get re-export documents for your animals from the original C.I.T.E.S. documents which are alot easier and quicker to obtain if you were going to do shows within the US.

CITES is required for any animal registeres as a CITES II animal. Only to send out of a country. So if I want something from the US then the shipper has to get CITES permits to export them. Same if I'm exporting something. Many small breeders won't ship out of their country because they can't be bothered with the paperwork. Especially since US CITES is about 6 months or more to get. Here we can get them in usually 2 weeks so for us to ship isn't as much hassle as for a US breeder to ship.

Some lessers do look like Butters, but there is probably 5 lessers out there for every Butter so they are not the same thing in my eyes.. Ugly Butters look like Lessers and pretty Lessers look like Butters. Actually the female Mojave on my Mystic post looks as nice as alot of the Lessers but she is just a Mojave.. Variability in Ball Pythons is what your seeing! Anthony McCain-McCain's Reptiles..

Congrats Mark,
That clown looks as good as it did in Daytona, if not better. Brian produces some awsome clowns, that seem to hold onto some great colors as they age.

Good Luck with him,

The Clown is probably the nicest I have seen as far as reduced pattern. I like it! The Lesser is a nice light example, almost Hypo like. Very nice snakes. Clowns are among my favorites.
