My beardie

MacArthur Feb 25, 2006 11:34 AM

Hey, here is my first beardie I got back in the fall from peole who coudlnt care for him anymore. They housed him on red sand, hence his red feet and tail. He is about 3 years old. Just wondering, does he look on the skiny side for a BD? Thanks and Enjoy,
Grant

He looks pretty healthy to me, but he is laying in an odd position. One way to tell if a beardie is underweight is by the fat pads on the top of their head behind the eyes. They should be nice and plump. An underweight dragon may not have these bumps or in extreme cases they may be indented. Also you could probably get the sand stain off of him with a lukewarm bath and soft bristled toothbrush. Good luck with him, he's a handsome fella.
