tortoises and beardies??

Im posting this in the beardie forum as well... once it warms up i am going to build an enclosure (*it going to be pretty big and be fully enclosed so animals cant get them) outside for my russian tortoises (male and female pair) and my mother want me to put my beardies out there wuth them...i didnt think its a good idea b/c they are different species...what do u think??

I don't think it's a good idea.

The russians are slow and easy-going. Beardies are fast and energetic. The beardie will freak out the torts and eat all of the food. Plus there is a risk of passing pathogens from one to the other.

If you make the enclosure large enough, you could just put up a wall between them.
