Are GTP's difficult to breed?.............more

East TN Reptile Feb 25, 2006 05:23 PM

I've breed:
boa constritors
spotted & Jungle carpet pythons and incubated the eggs myself with good hatch rates
corn snakes
I'm thinking of getting an unrelated CB pair, just wanted the "scoop one breeding & if they were " hard" to breed?
I've owned GTP's before & had no problems with general husbandry, just never attempted breding
Thanks for ANY info !

IMHO, they are like breeding cornsnakes. If you've bred Jungle Carpets, you can breed chondros. Good luck.

Breeding isnt that hard. Incubation can make you want to pull your hair out, but it's not rocket science. Getting babies to eat and or survive after hatch, that's not that easy.
