Does anyone feed silkies to their wd's???? I am very upset here. Just found out that the silkies I have are diseased. Does anyone know if the silkworm virus is dangerous to Water Dragons???? Each one of my babies has had three per day, for two days. Should I be worried?? Just contacted Mulberry Farms, and they advised that I should destroy them. Ok.

Hi, that's quite troubling to hear being that I ordered some silkies from them about two months ago. I started off by going through California Silkworms which has changed it's name to Coastal Silkworms. I've had very good luck with them. Another place I have heard of to look at is Silkies To Go. I have never ordered through them so I don't know to much about them. What did your diseased ones look like? I hope your babies are okay. I would check with your vet cause I'm not really sure about if it is harmful, being that I haven't run into the problem. However I would definately switch to Coastal Silkworms they're about the same price as Mulberry.

The diseased ones, most of them, were really icky!! I orginally ordered some from Silkies to go, so I know what healthy ones look like. Fast growing, nice and fat, white . . . These ones kept turning yellowish, and oozing yucky stuff. Some of the others got dirty looking. They didn't grow so well.

With Silkys to Go, there was only one fatality. With this Mulberry Farms order, about half died, and I threw out the rest. And, I told MF, and they promised to ship another batch, but I haven't heard back from them about that since last week... Plus, Silkys to Go will talk to you when you are confused, which I am all the time, lol!
