Mussurana Eggs!!!

Doug T Feb 26, 2006 01:17 PM

Hey guys,

Lots of us know what it's like to make it to the next stage of any certain project we're working on. I figured I'd show off the "next stage" I got to the other night.

My Mussurana female dropped 10 really nice looking eggs a couple nights ago. I've learned not to hold my breath when it comes to success with any snake breeding project until there are healthy and hungry feeding baby snakes, but I'm really jazzed to have gotten to this point.

I put a ball point pen in one of the pics to show some scale as to the size of the eggs. As you can see, they aren't small eggs either.

As far as I know, this is only the second successfull breeding of this species here in the state, Michael Berger produced some babies not too long ago.

Hope you like the pics.

...a most excellent piece of work. I appreciate the diligence & focus you've maintained to get to this point & 10 is a good reward for you. They all look viable to me..but Id dang sure keep em cool....74-78 max...
Hopefully, in 10 years there will be hundreds being bred & semi trucks w/ the DT logo will be thundering across America...delivering their foul-heads by the pallet-load...
