Which rack to use?

MotaRaider Feb 26, 2006 04:18 PM

I am starting to research all different types of racks for my first breeding season that will start end of the year. I was wondering which rack systems people are using, why do you like the, or why dont you like them? I have two Boaphile cages, and ive been looking at their racks. I've also looked at Animal Plastics racks, and theyre definately cheaper than most. Any and all information, opinions or whatever would be awesome. Thanks in advance to anybody who responds.

I've got several of the AP racks (2 ST1960, 2 ST1754, and a ST1756) and have been very pleased with them. I recommend the belly heat option, I have it on all of my racks from them. Can't really speak to any other brands because I haven't owned any but in my house the open air racks would be tough to heat properly because my animals are in the basement where it's cooler so the closed racks work out very well and like you said the price is very resonable. And since they come disassembled the shipping is reasonable too.

Take a look at vision too, prices even cheaper than Ap, good quality...has top holes that if you cannot maintain humidity you can cover cheaply with shrink wrap window selers from home Depot for less that $10 for teh whole rack. Heat cord is darn easy to use and configure to exactly what you need, and you can ue each shelf two different ways.
