Crappy pics of some not so crappy boas..... =)~ No Dial Up......

Sojourner Feb 26, 2006 06:29 PM

It's too frickin' cold outside around here, but I am tire of waiting for it to warm up to post some new pics of the kids.....

First up.... Two very different EBV Red Group line animals. Narcissa, one of our keeper female DH Ivory Ghosts, and Candy(short for candycane), oue keeper female White and Red Group Hypo......

Now comes the lovely Nona to the mix. She is one of our Ivory Anery females that should not have been....

Here we have Narcissa with Nun, one of the female lavender hypo wonder twins from our 04 white group litter....

And now Nun with Zero, another female freak from the 04 white group litter. She is going to be all black before she's done I think.....

Thanks for looking! What do you think?

Jesse

Hey Jesse,
It's good to see you around, haven't seen much of you lately.

Sorry things are so chilly by you, it is nice here in Florida this time of year. About the only time of year I can stand it actually!

That Anery is unreal, especially that tail!! All of the boas you have produced the past couple years have something unique and special going on with them.

Thanks for sharing!

Thanks, Denny! I lurk through a few times every week, but have just not been posting much. The anery's sister has an even more unboalievable tail than she does!

I can not wait to make some f2's of the white group animals we are working with. This season I plan on breeding our original white hypo male back to his mom, which is where all the unique looks are coming from.

I wish the best for you and yours this season as well!

Jesse, those pics are great and the boas are awesome! That Anery female is out of this world! What do you mean she "should not have been"? Great looking animals. Andy Federico

Her mother is an '01 Ivory anery, and her father a Red Group hypo we purchased from EBV in '02. There is no anery in his background that I can trace. It is possible he is a het for anery, but I statistically should have gotten some ghosts if he were. In the litter there were 3.3 dh ghosts, 3.4 pastel hets, and .3 aneries. I do not know if it means anything, but all three were premies, and female.

I plan on breeding our RG hypo to a different anery female next year to see what I can see. I also intend to eventually have the three anery girls genetically checked against their mom for the slim, but interesting possibility of parthenogenesis.
