Thayeri king vs Mexican Milk size comparison..

Steve_Craig Feb 26, 2006 07:09 PM

I know a few of you keep L.t.annulata, in addition to Thayeri kings. My question is, how do adult Thayeri and Mexican Milks compare to one another as far as girth? When it comes to length, I believe annulata are a little shorter on average then thayeri, but I wasn't sure which of the two was larger girth. Just something that struck my interest since I do have an 05 Mexican milk, and soon to have an 05 Thayeri. Thanks in advance.

Steve,
Having kept a few annulata along the way I'd say they are very comparable but it differs from snake to snake. I've got female thayeri that are 30" and then I have some that are pushing 40" and lay 18 eggs at a whack......wonder if they have brooksi in them....just kidding! From what I remember about the annualta I had when they reached breeding size they were the same size as the thayeri breeders I have now.
