Is there a difference between the 1602N and 1602R Hova-bators?

xelda Jul 27, 2003 01:39 PM

I can actually find listings on eBay and Google for the 1602N, but only Randall Burkey sells the 1602R "Reptile Series" Hova-bator.

one of them has a fan which blows the air around in the incubator one is just a thermal model. The one with the fan drys out things to much unless you put the eggs in a sealed deli cup or container like in Albeys method. Sorry I don't know which is which but that is the difference. The more expensive one I know usually is the fan model.

The turbo fan model gets too hot and will cook your eggs, literally. We use three of the thermal ones and have had no problems with them.
