Outside works best! LOL

Inside doesn't work so well! LOL

Sorry I couldn't resist, I kept my colony in the garage. In the winter since I slow feeding anyways I just froze the colony and started fresh in the spring. I think a ventalation system would be a better choice over a purifier but you do what you can.

Good Luck

I am currently using a "Living Air" which will cover 3000 square feet and in my opinion there are not any out there that can beat it. I have been using the same one for about 5 years now and would not change to another brand. I have used it with 38 breeding colonies of mice, with 4 females and 1 male per cage and never had any issues. I also breed my mice in my house not in a seperate garage, so the odor or should I say lack of odor is no problem at all. This brand is by no way cheap, I paid approx. $750 for it 5 years ago, but the way I look at it, you get what you pay for. I would much rather spend the money on a good purifier versus smelling the rodents. This unit is also compact and measures approx. 8 inches wide, 10 inches deep, and 12 inches tall. Hope this helps........

Check out the "feeder food" discussion forum. There was a thread in there recently that discussed that issue pretty throughly.
