OK...That may have been a strange start...but here's what just happened: Last October I found a pair of hatchling Racers in South Dakota. They were brought home and put into hibernation immediatley. I've been watching them closely and they were both doing fine. Now...this morning...I checked on them and the little female was all stretched out, thin , wrinkled, laying on her side limp as a noodle, no toungue flicking, etc. I thought for sure she was dead so I brought her out to room temperature and 3 hours later she is very much alive, plump and crawling around the container!!! I wasn't going to bring them out till mid April when there would have been more small natural prey available for them in case neither one accepted pink mice. In another week I'll have plenty of live pink mice for her and crickets from the pet store. Any other suggestions to get this thing feeding and going strong? I remember there was plenty of good advice on starting baby Racers a while back. (I know...one of the most difficult!) This is a most un-expected turn of events and I'd feel just horrible if either one of these little beauties dies in my care. Helpful hints??? Thanks! TJ.
