Anyone have a BIG mouse eater?

normal_bp Feb 27, 2006 12:54 PM

I have a female who won't eat rats as of now. I was wondering if this could inhibit her potential adult size. Does anyone have a big mouse eater?

LOL , dont think it will have anything to do with her size , as long as you feed her adaquetly. Contact Anthony McCain , hes got some BIG mouse eaters.

I have A few pure mouse eaters; they seemed to take a bit longer to get big.
I think it's because it's easier to get some balls to eat one item than multiple items per feeding.

But yes, they eat 6-10 adult mice/week when feeding well.

I don't have any that are runts from eating just mice.

my 3footer female ball eats 2-3 large mice a week, unless she is fasting

I have a pastel female produced in Oct 2004. She has never eaten anything other than mice. Her mass peaked at 1700 grams in Dec 2005, she has ovulated and will hopefully be producing some supers for me this year (currently at 1550 grams). So, to answer the OPs question, no, balls do not get big on mice...lol.

BTW she eats 5-10 mice per week. I fully expect her to hit 3000 grams by next year...
