Hi there,
I am currently working with similar looking snakes like the first pictured animal. I am not sure what to make of them, but they are cool. I hope to cross them with lines of Black pastel, Pastel, Mojave, Pied, Reduced Pattern, and other stuff. Now the second pic of your "Brown Back" reminds me of the Bronze Blusher. I think it is currently under the works with OZZY BOIDS. I think he has pics of some on his site. Check it out. It can a long time to really figure them out, but if you like them, and think they can pay off in the future, keep them. They are Beauties!

The 'look' of that snake must be genetic.

The faded head, overall blushing/flames, neck 'spots', large spots in the side pattern, abberancies in the side pattern, and the dorsal stripe? I'd bet money on it being genetic.

As for the brownback? Could be or could not be genetic. If not genetic he might provide some nice 'influence' when bred to a Pastel or Cinnamon.

If they were MY animals I would hold onto them long enough for atleast one breeding. Would suck to sell them off and have someone else prove them and name the new 'morph'.

Regret is such a hard pill to swallow. lol

Thanks for sharing.

I say you should just send them to me! LOL I actually have a nice adult male that looks alot like the first guy you pictured, he will be breeding for the first time this fall if I can get enough females to make sure my hets and pastel have girls. Man females for a decent price over 500 grams sure are hard to get your hands on! LOL I keep seeing them in the classifieds, but I've been ripped off before and I'd rather not buy from someone I don't know of. I may just get some at one of the shows though.

Anyway, if you do decide to get rid of them, keep me in mind, and if they prove out I'll split everything with ya. I think your kinda loopy if you let them go though, with all the new simple morphs comming out now (IE: Harlequins, I still can't find anything telling me why my normal male isn't a harli, they all look like him to me and I have yet to see anyone explain the traits) who knows where the next one is?!

Good luck!

He is nice too...breed him and keep the daughters for your collection at least. There's no telling what is and isn't genetic.Just takes time i guess.
