New to Corns

AFTfanatic Feb 27, 2006 07:21 PM

Hi, I'm just getting into cornsnakes. This weekend I'm going to be choosing a six month old Okeetee female.I have a question about my setup. I currently have a ten gallon tank with two hides, untippable water dish, branch, thermometer, rheostast, undertank heating pad, secure lid, and aspen substrate. I plan on feeding her in a separate container so the shredded aspen won't be a problem. Can I make any changes or improvements? Thanx a bunch for the help!

Sounds perfect to me. just make sure you put the thermostat on the substrate and not in the air/on the glass. I recomend a digital one since the little round stick on ones are usually at LEAST 5 degrees off.

Sounds like you have your bases covered...Until, of course, your little corn outgrows that 10g. You'll love the new addition to your collection. Duffy

Hey guys thanx a bunch, I'll look into the digital thermometers. As soon as I get her and figure out how, I'll post some pics of little Pheobe.
