swollen mouth

perseus Feb 27, 2006 07:59 PM

A week ago my newest ball came in the mail. he was packeged with mulch, and in the middle of a shed cycle. During transit he must have rubbed his nose pretty raw, and rubbed off more than the top layer of scales. Im not worried about that though, recently his mouth seems swollen and he has yet to take food, should I do anyting (neosporin, vet visit) or should I just wait for it to heal?
There is a yellow discoloration on the underside of his head, this area has not shed yet, is this normal?

take him to the vet if he looks like he's getting worse (which it sounds like he is). I always take the information that I learn during vet visits and use it if I ever see something similar or the same again. As far as the yellow under the chin, as long as it's not infection (drainage) then it's probably stuck shed.

These are only my opinions.
