friends in need of a prayer

tanks Feb 27, 2006 09:09 PM

Three friends of the herping community are in need of our prayers, please lets all help.

1)Barb Fraser you all know of Barbs lung ailment that has had her in & out of the hospital, well its been about 14 months & she is steadily gotten worse, she has seen all kinds of experts & still no answers as to what has attacked her lungs & how to stop it. She is on constant oxygen & can barely walk across the house. She has had to move into another house about 20 miles away from John to see if maybe a change in environment will help but after a few months she is still declined. I love John & barb as my own family & i ask for your prayers.

2) most of you know Jason Penny (snakes of hudspeth county) he went into the hospital with gal stones in Carrizo springs (big mistake) poco the taco doctor who really must not be qualified to perform surgery on a rat, nicked his pancreas causing damage & overall did a pour surgery. Jason has developed pancreantitus which has caused damage to other parts of his body, he spent 3 1/2 weeks in the hospital this month. he was released & went home for about 3 days, since then he has been brought back to san antonio from uvlade with a high fever & infection. Today he has under gone a 3rd surgery to clean up the infection, has drain tubes to help try to clean out the infection. he seamed to be in good spirits tonight but will be in the hospital awhile longer, i will keep you all informed.
please pray for him & his family.

3) last but not least the person who had always been the closest to my heart, Sharon Adams (mrs tank), most of you have meet her through our years in the herp community. Some of you all know, but some of you dont we have gotten divorced after 20 years of marriage. We have remained friends & talk often. She has had a bowel rupture from diverticulitus (i dont think thats spelled right) causing massive infection, she has large amounts of intestine removed, which has caused digestive problems. she has spent about 4 weeks in the hospital in the last 2 mos & just as Jason & Barb has been at deaths door in the past. she has large amounts of massive swelling & has had an incision made from her pelvic area to her sternum, with numerous areas left open to drain & packed full of gauze, some of these holes into her body cavity are about 4" deep, these holes get cleaned out & irrigated every day to clean out pus from the infection. She has also been diagnosed with breast cancer, she has had a tumor removed but cannot go through the radiation treatment until she becomes stronger & the infection is cleared up. I have said many a prayers for her & will continue to do so.

I ask for everyone to band together & pray for these people so that they may obtain there original health & vigor & can enjoy the west Texas herping that has brought all of us together as the great herping family that we are.

Thanks Jeff for informing us on where he is. I just got off the phone with his wife, who said even though this shouldn't have happened in the first place, he's young and will recover nicely.
I know his wife really appreciated all of us thinking of them and wishing him the best.

Although I've never met you,and those you speak of, I feel as though I know you yet. My heartfelt prayers to you and yours for speedy recoveries and full health. I hope to meet and see you all 'round the Bend.

Tank,

Thanks so much for the heart-felt post. I will most definitely keep those 3 folks in my prayers. Tank I guess the last few years haven't been too kind to you. Fire, divorce, etc...
I hope things start getting better.

I hope that we cross paths this summer down south.
