Fertile?

mackdaddy81 Feb 27, 2006 10:55 PM

My female laid two eggs a couple of days ago and when I shine a flash light through the two eggs I can see a pinkish circle with a pink dot in the middle. The rest of the egg is yellowish when I shine the flashlight through it. Is this a sign of a fertile or infertile egg?

That is usually a sign of the egg being fertile. It doesnt however guarentee that the egg will survive the whole incubation period. But you do have a fertile egg. Looks like a little bullseye at the top of the egg right?

yes that normally means fertile, look again in a few more days and you will probably start to see veins.
