help with gravid female( i think)!!!

hello i was wondering if i could get some help? i bought an adult female hi-yellow, and the guys at the pet shop said they think she is pregnant! but they werent really sure! how and at how many weeks would i know for sure if she really is pregnant? are there ways of knowing? also i have heard u can see the eggs through the belly,is this true? after mating how long would it take her to lay them? thanx!!!!!!!!!!!!

It is true that you can see the eggs through the belly. Just in front of the rear legs you can see lighter pink bloches (large) on each side of her belly. Also, you will notice that she may appear quite fat.

Leopard geckos only need to be fertilized by the male once per season. Then she may lay 5-10 clutches of two eggs each. Usually the clutches are 2 to 6 weeks apart.

Also, Just because a gek is gravid, doesn't mean the eggs are fertile. Just like chickens, a lizard can lay eggs that have not been fertilized.

I recommend you get a leopard gecko book from your pet store or online to help with lots of basics. It'll teach you about basic care, housing and breeding and what you'll need.
