I have seen very few plans online that I would consider "detailed". The closest I have seen for high humidity species would be the cage plans on FineGTPs.com, but I don't know if the site is rebuilt yet.

There are a large handful of experienced cage builders on this forum. Why don't you tell us what you want and we'll talk you through it.

What size cage do you want and what sort of look are you going for? By "look" I mean do you like the all-clear acrylic style cages, a cabinet quality wooden cage, or a simplistic plastic cage.

Off the top of my head I can think of 5 different ways I might make a crested gecko cage look, depending on my mood.

well the cage will soon begin the building process.
it will be 3Hx2Wx2D. the back and the sides will be made of wood, the top mesh, and the front (door) of the cage will be plexiglass.
im aiming for a very tropical look. with a natural background but i have no clue on how to make the background. also the whole drainage system is a headache. some say gravel is good and others say it not. so im looking for advice on this.

thank you

If I were to keep Crested Geckos again I would use my storage tote design. It's a great combination of cost, light weight, and appearance.

The basic principle is that you mount a plastic storage tote onto a wooden face frame.

Here is a unit a friend of mine built based upon some advice I gave him. These are 50 gallon tubs, each being about 21"x23"x29" ... that's LxWxH.

The boxes are a bit smaller than what you want, but pretty darn close.

But regarding the wooden cage you seem to want, are you wanting a stained wood with a clear coat or do you want a solid color?
