Pooping and peeing question?

ccs68ex Feb 28, 2006 12:58 PM

Is it just me or does anyone else have a problem with their snakes pooping and peeing on them right as you start to put them back up? It does not happen everytime but it happens more than i would like. any opinions?

I'm conviced that all of my retics wait for me to either be taking them out of the cage or putting them back in to pee AND poop. That way they can get as much as possible on me. If you figure something out definitely let me know, but don't worry, you're not alone!

When are you going to post some pictures of that INCREDIBLE purple male of yours? I think the rest of the retic forum would like to see him as much as I would.

By the way, has he shown any interest in that massive female of yours yet?

Thanks.

I'll get some pics of him up when my camerawoman (fiance') decides to do a photo shoot. As for him and the big girl... I think love is in the air!

That's fantastic news. That particular female will make incredible looking albinos considering how much black she has and how nicely contrasting she is. Email me when you get eggs and let me know how many. A big girl like her should give you a LOT.

Looking forward to pictures.

I am going to take a guess and say the two of you have really young retics. I have noticed young retics have a tendency to let loose pretty often when being handled until they reach 12-18 months. After that it is less frequent. They almost seem to gain control of their bodily fluids as the mature. Do not mistake this for a sure thing and run out to place your retic down on your wife’s white carpeting at their 1 ˝ year mark in order to take those pictures. They still can and will dump at will. Always be prepared for the worse when letting a snake roam while being supervised.
