sex and the senior dragon

I have an old guy, about 9 or 10 years old. He was given to me so I'm not certain. Anyway someone else asked me to board her female dragon for her for several months. Gizzie, the girl, is about 2 1/2 years old and healthy. Do to the extra visitor and all my dragons gizzie spent most of her time hanging out with some females of her own size. She also spent time with my old dragon, Perth, who will occasionally bite the back of a girls neck but never attemps mating anymore.
Gizzie became gravid and I assumed it was an infertile clutch produced from keeping company with pregnant girls. At this time it appears her eggs are fertile! As I say the only male who has had access to her is Perth whom I had assumed was outta business. I had assumed Perth was out of the breeding game but he is the only possibility. Now I'm probably responsible for a dragon paternity lawsuit.LOL Hope gizzies' Mom understands!!!

unless the dragon's owner also had a male in with her, it is very likely your old dragon [great to hear he is healthy and doing well at 9 years of age] impregnanted her. mating can take place pretty quickly, especially with an experienced male [assuming you have mated him with your other dragons before].

basicaly now you are left with the choice of incubating the eggs to see if they all hatch, or destroying them if neither yourself or the owner of the female want to deal with a bunch of babies.

We are keeping the eggs. But now a quick question of genetics...the girl gizzies has light color with some clear toe nails. Perth (the old stud muffin!) has no pattern, very light tan colorand mostly clear nails. I've read that the clear nail thing can mean genetics to produce leucistic dragons.Any ideas with these two? I haven't a clue to thier genetic history, as I mentioned it was an accidental breeding. I guess I'll just wait and see who arrives at hatching time. Thanks.
