I have wanted a few hogs for years.. well I finally got a chance to pick up a pair of westerns, of course could not pass on them
My older daughter named the female Miss Piggy.. how cute lol. The male has yet to be named. I cannot get over how nice they are in person. Sure in pics they are neat looking.. but is so much better when they are in your hands... right?
Anybody have any breeding info? I have done lots of reading, but it is nice to hear from those who have done it a few times.

Since they are both of good wieght, and I highly trust the person I got them from I decided to try to put them together. They were housed together before I got them, and the female was seemingly willing then.. so I figured I would put them together to observe their behavior. Well very shortly after they were breeding after her showing great interest in him. She went right up to him with jerky head movements once she crawled underneath him. They were locked up for nearly 2 1/2 hours. So I hope to get a good sized clutch from her in about a month and a half!
