The F2's from the nic's I have seen are great..Nice pics...

Thanks for the compliment, but those are farm born so I cant wait until I produce some, I have a feeling that there will be alot of cool stuff come out of Nicaraguan breedings

I too have a 'hunch' that we'll see some odd stuff from Nicaraguans in F1 generations, from farm hatched parents.
Personally, I have some with strange characteristics that will make for very exciting and anticipated babies. (I hope)
I know of a few people, such as myself, dedicated to keeping my farm-hatched Nic lines pure. I'm not going anywhere so if you're interested, a few years down the line when we both have large, established groups of adults, we'll have to do some swaps and breeding trials to test out some of these strange traits.

Can't wait until we can produce a couple of generations of captive bred Nicaraguans.

I just got a new camera and once I receive it AND have time to figure it out, I'll have to post some more pics of my Nics.

Just kidding. Let everyone think that they are dark and ugly so that we can enjoy them all to ourselves..muuwahhahahahahahaha
Mine actually go through the most amazing color changes almost comparable to that of Hog Island boas. Maybe even more so than the Hogs.
I currently have 17 Nicaraguan boas and I love them. Their variances in color and pattern PLUS their size, make them impressive and ideal boa for projects. They do have a small attitude but I attribute that to me rarely handling them.
Another observation...some of my mainland Nics closely resemble Corn Island boas. I wonder if they unknowningly incorporated the Corn Island variety when gathering boas for the farms during breeding season. After all, for most people in Nicaragua, they're probably just considered 'boas'. Its like The Rock in The Rundown...Brazil nuts are just called nuts in Brazil.lol. Did that make sense? I'm typing and doing 10 other things at once...multi-tasking....gotta love it.

Makes alot of sense to me. I also wondered about the possibility of confusing or mixing the Corn Island and the Nics. I noticed that most of the Corn Island boas lack the "mustache" I have a couple of Nics like that....hmmmm something to ponder.
The attitude will have to be settled down with some of the nics, most of mine are very well mannered. But I do have some fiesty ones. I hope that through captive breeding we will begin to improve the lines and create all the color and personality of the larger Boas in a tidy little package...

You know how long i've been thinking that for
and also about strange things going to pop out....
I believe some of us are holding morphs and don't even know it yet... wait until these babies start popping out is right!
