New pics of my Sulcatas

sd2fast4u Mar 01, 2006 09:19 AM

Here are some new pictures of my Sulcata tortoises at play. I have had the larger two for about two years and the three smaller ones are just over a year old. They love to eat clovers and cactus pad and turnip greens and brumuda hay and whatever they can find growing in the yard. The other picture is of Abner, he is the biggest. I havent named the triplets yet because they look just alike! The other picture is of the new enclosure I built yesterday. I takes up most of my back yard, but Its a small sacrifice to give them the room they need, before long, I'm sure they will need the whole yard. There are no decorations yet, but I will make it beautiful for them soon. I just wanted to share these pics with you guys and gals. Be safe, and have a great day.

That's a nice size enclosure you have for your torts. They should be very happy having room to roam.

There's a pet shop nearby that has 10-12 Sulcattas in 4 X 8 pen. The big ones are climbing all over the smaller ones, who are pushed down into the mounds of feces. I'd like to think that someday they'll end up with keepers like you.
