Humidity?

patenaud Mar 01, 2006 09:33 AM

Everyone talks about the temperatures in the incubator and the ratio of vermiculite/water in order to get proper saturation but what exactly is the optimum humidity range for Ball Python eggs? 80% humidity, 90 ???

Anyone ever monitor the humidity when the eggs were doing well?

Thanks for your time.

Denis

Hi Denis -

Yes, I've monitored the humidity in the egg containers. I aim for at least 90 per cent humidity. It's usually fairly obvious when one is keeping it too dry. Otherwise viable-looking eggs will start to dent or cave in prematurely.
