Lucistic Black Rat?

Sighthunter Mar 01, 2006 03:38 PM

It is real simple. If someone caught this wild LUCY they have a name. If you have offspring then you will have access to this mystrrious person. WHO IS IT? Once we find out who this mystery person is if they exist then we have to ask the question are they credable?

Lucistic and Piebald which I consider a form of lucism are one of the rarest if not the rarest morph there is. I just find it hard to beleive that a black rat conveniently appears years after a Texan, coincidence? Name five other lucistics from species found in the United States that currently exist. What are the chances? Out of the hundreds of species how many are found or are even born lucistic? You can count them on one hand. No I do not think you can prove there is a legit lucistic black rat.

Ok, prove that every strain of albinism in rats didn't come from an amel corn or something similar.

How would one explain where all the whitesided morphs that we are seeing in a couple different species of snakes came from?
Did someone cross whitesided bulls into rat snakes or vice versa? Both species look pure to me. What about the whitesided speckled king that recently passed?

Good call. I didn't want to bring that up, so I waited for someone else to do so. And actually, There is a beautiful picture in Dr. Bechtel's book of a "color anomaly" Texas ratsnake. This "anomaly" looks just like the white-sided black rats. So, should one say that the white sided blacks are also nothing more than Texas rat mixes?

Nobody is dealing with the issue at hand you are all throwing sand into the air to cloud the issue. We are talking about proving the lucistic black rats are pure. Period. Has not happened yet.

The absence of evidence is not evidence of absence. I understand your hesitance but you can't state that it is NOT a black rat just because you have your doubts.
