Picture of two siblings.

MarkS Mar 01, 2006 03:51 PM

I thought this was an interesting picture. These two are siblings but there is quite a noticeable difference in color between them. There were 4 hatchlings total, three of them were light in color and 1 was dark. These are both 50% poss het ghosts. The father is 100% het butterscotch ghost and the mother is normal. I've talked to a lot of people who claim that their het ghost hatchlings are a much brighter color then hatchlings from a completely normal clutch. So, I thought that this pic was interesting. It'll be interesting to see if either one of these does turn out to be a het.

Congrats! All of my Ghost hets have been above average and beautiful. My Clown hets are also above average looking.

Sincerely, Kyle

Mark, you got my extra het!

Out of my 2004 50% chance het ghost clutch two of the girls are dark and only one is noticeably much brighter like her het ghost father. I guess it all averages out but I would have liked to have run on the high side like you!

ALL of the bright colored ones were male. The only female in the clutch was the darker colored one. Oh well, hopefully I'll get more eggs from the same pairing this year.
