Problems with eating...

Sarah Miller Jul 27, 2003 06:19 PM

Hello,
I recently adopted the parents of my first bearded dragon, Simon. Simon was my first and only beardie up until I adopted his parents. I put his parents' cage in the room in which I have Simon, but on opposite sides of the room. It has been about 4 days since I have brought homw his parents, and he has refused to eat. Simon is a little pig and always eats. I was wondering if anyone had any tips I could use for when feeding my lizard. Note the fact that it will be impossible to move Simon's cage out of the room, and it will be impossible to move his parents' cage, too.
Thanks!
-Sarah

it may take a while before they start eating but 4 days seems like a long time to me. make sure they are well hydrated and try to get a fecal exam if you can if they are producing poop. make sure your temps are right and since they are adults you may wanna try offering them some super worms.

You could try putting something over the parents cage a half hour or so before you feed Simon. He may forget his parents are there and concentrate on eating.
